The honorary award of “The Most Admired Enterprises” went to Chiesi Hellas at the event held on Thursday 22 May 2014 by Stat Bank on its excellent course in the Greek business industry.

“Diamonds of the Greek Economy” was launched 11 years ago and is the annual meeting of business excellence for the country’s healthiest growing businesses. Among the representatives of the government, the opposition and especially the business world, the CEO Mr. Stavros Theodorakis attended the ceremony to receive the Chiesi Hellas award.

 

The criteria for the award related to financial sizes, stable growth, continuous upward progression: sales of over 10 mil. Euro, turnover not lower than 13%, profit before taxes of more than 300,000 euros, profit before taxes not lower than 30%, gross profits of more than 1.5 mil. Euro, gross profits not lower than 25%, equity of over 3 mil. Euro, the ratio of turnover-liabilities to be lower than 1/0.9 (excluding companies with very high increase in turnover), the credit index lower than 90% (excluding subsidiaries of multinationals), and ROE above 2%.

 

7,000 of the largest industrial and commercial enterprises in Greece, according to their turnover participated in the evaluation based on the above economic indicators. The result was to distinguish 283 companies that compiled the “Diamonds of the Greek Economy 2014” list. Chiesi Hellas ranked 236th among major oil companies, banking groups, consumer goods and more.
