The first “Pharmacy Market Excellence Awards” held at the conference “Hellas PHARM 2017”, awarded the gold medal in the category “Corporate Social Responsibility” to the pharmaceutical company Chiesi Hellas, for the many years of its contribution in the education of Pharmacists at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
During the economic and institutional crisis our country has been experiencing in recent years, Chiesi Hellas supports the education of new scientists, developing the infrastructure for high level university education, ensuring the adequacy of consumable materials but also by offering sponsorship to doctorate students of the Synthetic Pharmaceutical Chemistry laboratory, of the field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department, Department of Pharmacy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, aiming at supporting the scientific potential of our country.
The awards are addressed to enterprises, agencies and groups that are active in the pharmaceutical market and have been distinguished for innovative or best practices, to the benefit of pharmaceutical treatment, prevention and the operation of privately-owned pharmacies.
The award was received by the President and CEO of Chiesi Hellas, Mr. Stavros Theodorakis, from the President of the Committee and President of the Hellenic Red Cross, Dr. Antonios Avgerinos. At the awards, Mr. Theodorakis stated: “…this award is an honor for all of us at Chiesi Hellas. The award is dedicated to all pharmacists who support Chiesi Hellas every day so that in turn, it can then undertake responsibly the corporate social responsibility initiatives of such size and duration...”.
